This unit covers conducting scraper operations in the mining and extractive industries.  It includes: planning and preparing for operations; operating the scraper; loading, hauling and dumping materials; and carrying out post-operational procedures.

Course Pre-requisites:

  • Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely  


  • Written Assessment
  • Practical Assessment


  • Training – Dependent on numbers and experience.
  • Assessment - 3 - 4 hours for experienced operators, assessment only, must supply work history.


On successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet sized plastic card stating the unit achieved.
