Nationally Recognised Training RIIMPO320A Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations

These units cover conducting hydraulic excavator operations in the mining and extractive and civil construction industries. They include: planning and preparing for operations; operating the excavator; and carrying out post-operational procedures.

Course Content:

Introduction and Legislation
OHS Regulations and Act
Inspection of equipment
Plan & prepare operations
Inspect & prepare work area
Equipment & attachments
Pre start checks
Operating techniques
Response to hazards and emergency situations
Operational maintenance

Course Pre-requisites:

Read and write English to a basic level
Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely

Assessments:

Written Assessment
Practical Assessment

Duration:

1 day for training and assessment
3 - 4 hours for experienced operators, assessment only, must supply work history

Certification:

On successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet sized plastic card stating the unit achieved.
