These units cover conducting water truck operations in the mining and extractive and civil construction industries. They include planning and preparing for operations; operating the truck; loading, hauling and distributing water; and carrying out post-operational procedures.

Course Content:

Introduction
Relevant Australian Standards, Legislation and Regulations
OH&S policy
Codes of Practice
Work requirements, safety information and procedures
Site hazards
Work requirements and procedure
Geological and survey interpretation and application
Operation of bulk water truck, load, haul and distribute water

Course Pre-requisites:

Read and write English to a basic level
Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely

Assessments:

Written Assessment
Practical Assessment

Duration:

Training – Dependent on numbers and experience.
Assessment - 3 - 4 hours for experienced operators, assessment only, must supply work history.

Certification:

On successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet sized plastic card stating the unit achieved.
