Nationally Recognised TrainingThese units cover the conducting of roller operations in the mining and extractive and civil construction industries. They include: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; operating and relocating the machine; and carrying out operator maintenance and clean up.

Cost:
Novice: $825 per person
Experienced: $550 per person

  • Inspect & prepare work area
  • Machine inspections and fault finding 
  • Pre-start checks
  • Traffic management
  • Monitoring and alarm systems
  • Response to hazards and emergency situations
  • Operational routine maintenance and servicing

Course Pre-requisites:

  • Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely

Assessments:

  • Written Assessment
  • Practical Assessment

Duration:

  • Training – Dependent on numbers and experience.
  • Assessment - 3 - 4 hours for experienced operators, assessment only, must supply work history.

Certification:
On successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet sized plastic card stating the unit achieved.
